Crafty Thursday

My wrist has been bothering me, so knitting hasn’t been a priority. Instead, I’ve decided to catch up on my sewing. I’d thought I’d start on their Hallowe’en costumes (Kieran wants to be Bilbo, and Charlotte Merida; she insists Leo needs to be Smaug), but I first saw an adorable pattern for a skirted top and ruffle trousers. I hadn’t heard of Ellie Mae patterns before, but this is cute and fairly well-written. I say “fairly” because I think it could’ve been a little clearer about attaching the ruffles, but I knew how to do that thanks to the tiered skirts I made last year. Overall I’m pleased, though. I chose the polka dot fabric, and Charlotte chose the butterfly. Can’t wait to see it on her!
